Ohhhh...so good!

Jack loves to cook, or at least try to help. His favorite thing is cracking eggs. It's hilarious! He hits it on the side of the bowl, then looks at the crack after each hit. And somehow he knows just when the egg is cracked enough to open it up. Once he sees a large enough crack he takes both hands and just crushes the egg until it drops in the bowl. I used to always have to fish out the eggshell, but he is actually getting better at not dropping that in the bowl. Then immediately following the cracking of the eggs, he asks for a "patula" so he scramble them. I really wish I had a video camera constantly taping our day.

So to try and keep Jack busy yesterday we look up some pumpkin recipes and found pumpkin cupcakes. So while my rockstar baby who slept until 5:45, ate. stayed up for a bit, and then slept until 11am, was sleeping we began baking. I measured out all the ingredients and put them in bowls so Jack could be the one to put it in the mixer. After it was all mixed I was digging for cupcake papers, and when I turn around Jack is going to town on the batter and after each lick I hear, "Ohhh...so good!" He was like a junkie, I couldn't get him away from the stuff. FYI...the cupcakes turned out awesome! So yummy

After naps we went to visit Grandma Vicki at work where they had trick or treating with the patients. Jack was thrilled to put on his costume and get some candy. Cole on the other hand, no so happy to get into his costume. It was just a pumpkin sack thing, but I bought it shortly after he was born, and when we put it on him yesterday, it was slightly small. But he made due. I post pictures after we go out today.

Colorado

Wooohooo! I think we are going to be able to go to Colorado Springs in Dec. to visit my dear friend Lisa and her family. I am so stinking excited. We met in highschool, roomed with each other all through college, were in each others weddings, had our first children 5 months apart, and we both a baby boy a day apart this fall.

Jackers

So last night mom and Jack were playing in the toy room and he had lined all his trains up on the track and tried to move them all, but some started to fall off. He proceeds to say, "oh my crap!" My mom tells him we don't say that word. Then he asks, " Say oh my goodness?" .......... Later we are playing cars, and craching them, and here it comes again "oh my crap". AHHHHH...apparently Chris points the figer at me and says taht Jack hears it from me. Yikes, it's amazing what they pick up even when you think they aren't listening. And earlier in the night, Chris was saying something about Obama, and Jack turned right around and said "Brock Bama"

Shopping

I actually went shopping tonight with my mom and sister and Cole didn't cry the whole time. It was wonderful. I bought the boys their Christmas outfits...adorable! Christmas has to be my favorite season. I love all the decorating and watching tv at night with only Christmas tree lights on.

2 months old

So I tried to start this a while back, but never did. Hopefully out of town friends and family can keep updated with this.

My baby is already 2 months old. At his dr. appt. he weighed 12lb.12oz. and was 23.5 in. long. It's been a trying 2 months. The first 2 weeks were wonderful, Cole was amazing sleeping, eating, rarely cried, then something snapped. Cole started crying, and by crying I mean screaming, all day long, unless he was sleeping. It was terrible watching him so misserable and nothing I would do could help him. So I finally took him to the dr. and she said he had a severe case of acid reflux and gave him some medicine to try....well here we are day 4 of the medicine and it's like I have a different baby! He is finally contented to sit with us, and smiles all the time. Thank the Lord for my happy baby!
