New Friend

Yay!!! I woke up this morning to a text welcoming Micah Nathaniel to the world. We are so extremely happy for Kelly and Christian and the safe arrival of their precious little bundle this morning. It's been a long, hard journey for them to get this little man here, and we were all counting down the days until their little boy made his appearance. Can't wait to go meet him later today! It will be so fun for Cole to have another little buddy to play with soon. We love you Kelly, Christian and baby Micah.

9 Months

I think I could say this about every milestone, but where did the time go?!?! This past month has been exciting and scary for Cole. He learned to crawl!!! And is now finally past the wobble bobble legs and getting around quite well. Last Friday he swallowed a screw! We ended up in the er and saw the xray with this bright screw sitting in his tummy. They said to let it pass on it's own. We are still waiting for that to happen. He went on his first long run with Jack and daddy on the prairie path. He is finding his voice, especially in church. Loves to EAT! Wants to eat anything he can, hence the screw in his tummy! And he is giving a little payback to his cousin Tessa who was always playing hard with him. Sorry for the piggy tail pulling Tessa! Life is just getting more and more fun each and every day. We finally have beautiful, warm weather and the boys are greatly enjoying being outside every second they can.

Things to remember at 9 months:

*How you put EVERYTHING in your mouth.
*How cute you look crawling where you want to go, and then sitting yourself up!
*That you are always hungry. And you scream if I don't shovel the food in fast enough.
*How you love to play with your brother now, and are starting to like is tractors.
*How you won't sit still for even one diaper change.
*You love your ba-ba, and scream when you see it and dont have it yet.
*You won't let grandma Vicki walk by without holding you.
*Your smile is so sweet, and our lives wouldn't be the same without you.

My first 5 mile run

I did it! Finally! I don't claim to be a runner. Don't really enjoy it that much. I would rather speed walk with my boys in the stroller. BUT I committed to this 10K race this weekend, and I think I can finally do it. On mother's day I went out and did a 3 mile run, then it got yucky, we were all sick, and so today when Megan came to drop off Tessa, I asked her if she would stick around while I ran. I knew where the 2 mile point was going out of town, but not sure about 2.5 so I just guessed and I was right on. I took the van out as soon as I got back to make sure I did 5 and I DID! whoohoo! Hopefully I can add an extra 1.2 on Sunday for my 6.2 run.

Cole Crawling

For about 3 weeks now Cole has been up on all 4 just rocking away. But he hasn't attempted to crawl. About 4 days ago he took about 3 crawls, as I would call it. (got his legs moved 3 times)Then two days ago he finally did it! We were sitting on the floor and he caught sight on my mom's watch and started after it. It was so cute. He looks a baby giraffe just born with little wobbly knees. Jack was so excited for him too. He kept clapping and saying, "Good job little buddy. Good job!" I love that Jack is just as excited when Cole starts doing something new. Last night in the van on our way home, Jack asked if Cole could crawl towards the tamote (remote in Jack language) . Then yesterday we were up at Aunt Meggie's house and Cole sat up from a crawling position. 2 new things in 2 days.

So pround of you baby Cole.
